The Queen and her Clothes

Fashion changes; Style endures  -Coco Chanel

You’re not going to see a woman strutting down 5th avenue showing off her new outfit in the 21st century; you’re not going to see that, I assure you, but just because this dress isn’t fashionable doesn’t mean it isn’t stylish. This might as well be one of the most beautiful pieces of art I have ever seen, the way the gold thread and the blue velvet mix is incredible. It is shocking seeing how much emotion the accents add to the gown, without them it would be nothing but a night-gown for the Queen. The Queen! You must be wondering who this belongs to. Well it belonged to the one and only, iconic, and regal Marie Antoinette, and I honestly don’t think it would be fitting for anyone else. Because its isn’t about the clothes the person is wearing, it’s about the person wearing the clothes.
