The painting above is of no other than Isaac Newton. In the center of the painting there is Isaac Newton himself and around him are the discoveries he made. We can see him holding a prism with a light coming from one side and a rainbow from the other because of his discovery that light when passed through a prism broke up into a rainbow and that there was also some invisible light involved in the process. He also realized light obeyed rules suggesting a wave phenomenon; leading to later discoveries by later scientists. There is also an apple tree above his head telling about when he discovered the law of gravity then coming up with the three laws of motion. We can also see the planets in orbit on the top right corner which is meant to show how Newton’s laws of motion applied to the planets in orbit around the sun. The telescope in front of him is because he invented the reflexive telescope.
